Owl & Park Lane Birthday Cards

My girl and I have been in the craft studio together lately.  After her first successful card making attempt, she is excited about making more.  I had some birthday cards to make and she has a friend with one coming up.  She always starts with the favorite color of the person she is making it for.  Purple - she used Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder & a bit of Blackberry Bliss from the Moonlight paper stack.

I always love the interactive cards so I suggested she make a moving card.  She used the Owl Builder punch to make the owl.  The Wisteria Wonder panels were die cut using the Ovals Collection Framelits.  The sentiment is from the Hey You stamp set.  The owl is attached to two pennies separated by a dimensional and slipped between the oval track.

The next card uses the Little Letters Thinlits.  I made a template panel with the word "HAPPY" on it.  With a Post-It note I run the H, A, P & Y through, then run the P again since I don't have 2 of them.  The template keeps everything straight and just where I want the letters.

I embossed the Whisper White panels with the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF, running it through the Big Shot twice, once per end.  Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I added two lines above and below the words.

I used the photopolymer stamps from Just Sayin' and July's My Paper Pumpkin to create the Birthday and arrow in Blackberry Bliss ink.  The photopolymer makes it so easy to line up!  A strip of Park Lane behind the "Happy" and then mounted to a Daffodil Delight card base.
