FMS113 Striped Christmas

A chance to play at Freshly Made Sketches again while watching football (and waiting for The Pats to play).  Here is the sketch:

I really love the simplicity of this sketch along with the offset borders.  I recently saw  some cards used with the red and silver Glimmer Paper.  Had to give it a try!

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Greetings of the Season stamp set in Real Red ink on Whisper White on a Smoky Slate panel.  I cut 1/4" thick strips of silver and red glimmer paper and adhered them side by side at a 45 degree angle.  (Used my grid paper to line it up).  Added a Rhinestone to dot the "I" in Christmas.

Stamped a small star image from Simply Stars in Smoky Slate and Real Red and popped them up using dimensionals.  Punched out a couple of stars with the small star punch in silver glimmer paper.

Quick & Cute Bring on the Cake!

I needed a quick, fun and cute birthday card this weekend for one of my nieces.  Fun and cute because she is 10 years old.  Quick because life never stops being busy.

Stamps sets I used were Simply Stars, Gorgeous Grunge and Bring on the Cake.

The Gorgeous Grunge image is in Melon Mambo ink, stamped off once to lighten it.  The stars are in Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango, cut out and popped up on dimensionals.  The sentiments, both from Bring on the Cake, are stamped in Black Stazon onto Whisper White card stock.

I love making simple cards like this!  Always make more than one to have in the stockpile for when needed in a pinch.
