Christmas Joy 2013

Every year I do a Christmas stamp-a-stack.  In order to be ready for November, I usually plan a couple months ahead of time by starting to think about what colors to use, stamp sets, etc.  After sketching something out, I'll do a "prototype" to see how it works out.  This is one of them.
I started with Confetti white card base and base panel.  I really like the look of the same color layered on top of the card base.  Using the Holiday Ornaments Framelits (which are in the Holiday Carryover), I diecut the ornament from the center of the panel.  The magnetic platform does a great job of holding the framelit in place while sending it through the Big Shot.

After diecutting, I placed the panel on top of the card base (not yet adhering it) and used a white gel pen to outline the ornament.  Then I used Season of Style Washi Tape to cover over the outline.  After I had all the tape in place, I added a piece of Red Glimmer paper to the top to make it look like a cap.

With a 2 way glue pen, I outlined the die cut and added Dazzling Diamonds.  Used 1/8" Silver ribbon for the hanger.  I popped the panel up using dimensionals and adhered it to the card base.  The letters are Sahara Sand cardstock cut from Typeset Alphabet dies.  Such a fun look.  I've seen this done with ribbons instead of washi tape, but this way really quick and easy!

Thanks for looking!
