Flower Shop Swap

Time to create a card to swap with the other demos at our meeting this weekend.  Since it had been a while since I've had the chance to stamp, I needed some inspiration.  After checking tons of samples using the Flower Shop stamp set, I came across a card very similar to what I ended up with.  I changed up a few things, like the embossing of the Smoky Slate panel and the Pool Party cardstock.  The original card was done in Soft Sky and was a really soft look, but I didn't have any left.

I embossed the flower images with white embossing powder on VersaMark ink and added a pearl to the center after punching it out using the Pansy Punch.  These flowers are difficult to line up as there isn't a direction to it.  I made a template from scratch paper, wrote TOP on it and keep it in the stamp set box.  I use it to check to make sure the image is aligned on the stamp block before I stamp so that I can properly punch it out.

Other supplies I used:

  • Oh, Hello stamp set
  • Flower Shop stamp set
  • Itty Bitty Banners stamp set
  • Smoky Slate cardstock
  • Pool Party cardstock
  • Bitty Banners framelits
  • Ovals Collection framelits
  • Pansy Punch
  • Argyle TIEF
  • Perfect Polka Dots TIEF
