Card Holder

In preparation for an April birthday gift, I needed to make a card holder.  There are tons of templates out there to use, but I ended up just making one myself.  To make one of these, it takes one sheet of 12x12 cardstock (with a little scrap leftover).

I used a sheet of Basic Gray cardstock to make the base which is 6" x 12".  I used some Designer Series Paper from the Twitterpatted and Sycamore Street collections.  The ribbon is 3/8" Ruffled in Pool Party.  I stamped the image from Layered Labels twice using Basic Gray ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  I die cut one of the images with the Apothecary Framelits and the other using the Oval punch.  Layered the oval cut image using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a couple of mini silver brads.

On the inside, the pockets hold envelopes on the left and cards on the right.  Enough for 4 cards and envelopes.  I cut, scored and rolled some scrap pieces for the pen holder.

The pockets are just wide enough to hold the envelopes leaving space for the pen when you close it.

I have a very crude template that I drew up for this, but if anyone is interested in getting the dimensions, send me an email and I would be happy to share!

Thanks for stopping by!
