Blizzards and Birthdays

We are in the middle of Blizzard 2013 here in New England.  The winds are howling and the snow is coming down very heavily.  We still have power so I am charging up the electronics in the event it goes out.

This month and continuing through March is a crazy busy time of year for kid birthdays in our family.  My niece who will be 13 (I can't believe that) has asked me to do a birthday party for her and her friends.  So I have been brainstorming ideas.  She wants to do a bookmark, but that is not enough!  I thought of doing a candle to match the bookmark.  At leadership though, one of the girls had an adorable swap that was a keychain made of ribbons in the shape of a flower.  I took a picture of it and thought it might be cute to recreate.  After some searching some Stampin' Up! Sites I found a demonstrator in Australia who had a free PDF tutorial and a video on how to make it.  Her name is Tanya Bell and the link to her tutorial page is:  stampingt.com.au
