Happy Adoption Shower!

Today is the Adoption Shower celebration for my good friends that I made the invitations for. It is also a milestone as the grace period for the birth mother has passed and she can no longer change her mind about the adoption. I can't imagine what a hard thing she had to do, but I am utterly thrilled that she picked the best parents for her baby!

We picked up a cute little outfit for the baby to wear this summer, complete with matching sunglasses! Can't wait to hang out at the beach with them! The card I made for the shower gift uses some of the same motifs as the shower invitation, but uses a different images. I wanted to use similar colors as well to tie the two together, but still making the card unique.

Crumb Cake cardstock is the base card with a Pretty in Pink layer embossed with Dots. I stamped the carriage from the Baby Bundle set in Stazon Black ink and watercolored using ink and a blender pen. I die cut the carriage using the Labels Collection Framelits Die (getting a lot of use out of these). Then I popped it up off of the pink panel using dimensionals. I added 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon to the bottom, which is actually a throwback to the bridal shower invites I made her! Added a piece of crochet ribbon at the top corner and fastened with a chocolate chip brad.

Congratulations to Kathy and Dave and may you guys enjoy the journey of parenthood! You are one month in and already are amazing! I am so proud to call you my friends!
