Birth Mother Card Option #1

My sweet friend has asked me to create a card to put in a care package to the birth mother of their baby. I really wanted to create something special and memorable. I decided to use the vintage trend as a starting point, which is not typically my style. I will probably make a few cards for her to choose from if she doesn't think this one has the right feel for what she wants to convey.

To get started, I was inspired by CPS 254. I used Stampin' Up! set Apothecary Art and Loving Thoughts stamped in Early Espresso ink. Cut out the apothecary image with the Labels Collection Framelits. Watercolored with ink and blender pen with Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler. Cut out a couple extra flowers and popped them up using mini glue dots and filled the centers with Dazzling Details Cherry Cobbler. Added a couple of pearls. Used Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock and lightly dabbed with Early Espresso ink. Cut a tail on the bottom and rolled the top. Punched another piece of Cherry Cobbler with the dotted scalloped ribbon border punch and adhered it to the back of a piece of Morning Mocha specialty paper. Used the Cutter Kit tool to fray the edges. I spritzed the Baja Breeze Textured Card Stock base with Early Espresso.

I've been in my craft studio a lot lately with the intent of cleaning and organizing it. While some of that is getting done, it is slow going and I usually end up discovering something that inspires me. At least I am being productive in my procrastination. :)

Nice, classic look! Such a royal feeling from the design and layered textures. I'm sure she will love it!
